The Unstoppable Hitler Vs. the Immovable Weimar

So guys, did you hear that Donald Trump is literally Hitler? Because Donald Trump is literally Hitler! He’s white supremacist, racist, racist, white supremacist, Hitler, and so forth.

As you can imagine, I’m being somewhat mocking in my use of this term—not because Donald Trump is probably the most pro-Israel president the United States has ever had, not because referring to everything as “literally Hitler” is, frankly, insulting to the millions of people that suffered and died under the actual Hitler, but because those who throw around this allegation don’t have the intellectual curiosity to think about the context in which the Nazis rose to power, in particular the years immediately before their rise. I have been trying to convey this to “normies” for the past 2 years now and nobody seems to listen, so I’ll do it explicitly here—

If Donald Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler, he only arose because we’ve turned the United States into the reincarnation of the Weimar Republic.

You know about the Weimar Republic, don’t you? Most people do, somewhat dimly. If they think of it at all, they think of it as an early outpost of progress and tolerance that briefly existed in the 1920s before those big bad reactionaries came and ruined it for everybody.

As I have made clear in several other articles, I have absolutely no love for the overblown, suicidal idiocy of the Nazis or their ideology, but I’m also lucid enough to know that they didn’t emerge out of a floating bolus of hatred and reactionary thought that bloomed from the soil of 1920s Germany for no reason at all—the goings-on of the Weimar Republic were a major cause for the rise of the Nazis.

As has been discussed (*cough* Lionized *cough*) in countless television shows (most notably the ongoing Berlin Babylon that you can watch right now), the Weimar Republic was a veritable hotbed of vice and degeneracy, perhaps even by the loosened standards of today—putting aside the high tolerance for homosexuality that wouldn’t be matched until, perhaps, the 1990s, the Weimar Republic is legendary for its drug use, perversions of all kinds (including, notably, the easy availability of child prostitution), and its flowering of various shocking artistic movements (of varying aesthetic appeal), perhaps an inevitable result of the traditional kultur of Germany being utterly destroyed, degraded, and mocked in the losing aftermath of World War One. There was a void, and that void was to be filled with vice and sleaze.

The world of eroticism aside, the Weimar Republic is also infamous for its economic troubles such as hyperinflation and its political upheaval. Street fights between rightist and leftist groups were common (and not just in Germany), groups such as the Spartacist League used rhetoric and tactics remarkably similar to modern Social Justice Warriors, and ultimately the state of chaos in the Weimar Republic led some to escape their troubles in vice and degeneracy, and most to turn to the Nazi party as what appeared to be a “lesser of two evils” that would at least keep things in order, unfortunately not realizing that turning away from extreme degeneracy to extreme reaction would not make things better in the long run.

So why, do you ask, did I give a brief overview about the goings on in Weimar Germany, and how does this tie into Trump?

Because looking at modern America will reveal many disturbing similarities to the Weimar Republic at its worst.

Don’t believe me that America in 2018 is almost as degenerate as that fabled 1920s Babylon? Then what would you call it when…

…transgenderism and sex changes are pushed upon elementary school children?

…Children are sexualized in many other ways?

…No, really, children are sexualized a lot.

…The homicide rate is the highest its been in the last 21 years, and 4 out 5 of the worst mass shootings in American history have occurred in the last 5 years?

…And the above is despite the skyrocketing prison population?

…America is in the midst of a massive opioid epidemic that is currently wiping out the white working class?

…Every single aspect of American history and culture is besmirched, degraded, and deconstructed in academia and pop culture?

…The United States is 20 trillion dollars and counting in debt?

…Every second of every day has 729 people in this country watching internet pornography, which adds up to 4 times as many American views on porn websites as there are people on the entire planet?

…70% of the country is on some sort of prescription drug, but life expectancy continues to drop? (See above)

…The elites of America openly hate their country and are going out of their way to “elect a new people”?

…Nobody cares about what I said in the previous sentence?

…Rightist and leftist paramilitaries are regularly duking it out on the streets?

…Men are shamed because they don’t want to sleep with transgenders and non-binary persons?

…Even many “normies” are afraid that the US will be embroiled in Civil War in the next few years?

…And if you raise any objection to any of this you’re some sort of bad person?

So, is Donald Trump “literally Hitler?” Probably not, but if he is, he would never have arisen if the United States hadn’t already been turned into the Weimar Republic.
