Yeah, we’re getting to the part you’ve heard of: the private Vietnam, the virulent hatred of “Chads”: What else could it be but Moviebob’s Life in the Mushroom Kingdom? In this week’s exciting excerpts, we will learn about how he experienced cognitive dissonance and forced himself to like the Super Mario Bros. movie, was repeatedly in and out of psychiatric wards, dealt with “evil white Christian men” at several points of his life (from the horrid working class white Chads to the man who gave him his first film review “job”) and, most shockingly of all, his claims to actually have been involved in sex and drugs as a teenager.

And yes, the film The Wizard is, in addition to the high point of Jenny Lewis’ career, also a high point in Moviebob’s life.

This video was…absolutely painful to make, and like I say in the video the book isn’t even a 1/3 of the way through. So for the next couple of weeks I’m going to do other, much shorter and easier to make, videos. But it will still be the same great content you expect.
