This year has been a hell of a thing, but I’ve returned to content creation. You can hear about the fairly sordid tale in the video.
Your eyes do not deceive you. The one and only Larsen Halleck is back and…I’ll be honest, it hasn’t been the greatest past year for me.
I last left you like a triumphal general marching off to war with a clear purpose and goals. I was engaged and was off to set out for a “real job”. So what happened? Well, after months of searching, I did get a real job more or less…it was the director of operations at a private school…which ended up being run by a bunch of scammers in some kind of short sell deal, attempting to get as much state funding, grants (including one for twenty thousand dollars obtained by yours truly), and enrollment/tuition fees as possible and then “conveniently” announce the school was not up to code and never open. I was supposed to be getting paid 65k a year and I got paid, uh, dick. Yeah, 0 goddamn dollars. We were supposed to get paid once school started, and that of course didn’t happen. So me and the other staffers got in contact with the department of labor and I’m in for a long legal battle which I MAY, at the end of it, make 10 thousand dollars or so...
In all this, I have realized something: I truly wasn’t going anywhere in life. Beyond the Youtube stuff I mean. Yeah, I had slow and steady growth here, but as my main purpose in life? I had to take a step back and realize this should only be a supplemental thing, it’s fun but not what I want my legacy in life to be.
I mean I doubt even the big time Youtubers put this on their resume. I mean, fuck, what do you think Lucas Cruikshank puts on his resume? “Yeah, I spent the last 10 years shrieking like a dumbass, hire me!”
